WES Trade has already a valuable track record in the implementation of solutions for the agricultural sector, with IRRIGOPTIMAL, an integrated system based on artificial intelligence to tackle water scarcity through a patented prediction model. The system was awarded as best application on Sustainable solutions at Malta Business Award in 2022 and as best technological solution at South Europe Prestige Award in UK in 2023.

WES Trade is very active in the Research and Development sector, also thanks to the wide collaborations with international Universities and Research Centers. Research is aimed at creating new integrated solutions for our clients. We have a wide track record of successful R&D Projects under National and European Grants (HORIZON 2020 Marie Curie, TDI FUSION LITE - MCST, PRIMA - MCST-TUBITAK, R&I Excellence - MCST, Research and Development 2020 – MALTA ENTEPRISE). WES trade has a dedicated and equipped Lab Area for supporting R&D activities within its premises in the heart of Gzira.

IRRIGOPTIMAL
IRRIGOPTIMAL is an integrated suite making use of a set of technologies from Analytics, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, IoT, Big Data Management, detection Sensors and mechanical Actuators to tackle water scarcity reaching a reduction of water consumption in irrigation in the range of 35%-50% compared to the current values.
